Airtel has introduced a significant enhancement to its services by including IPTV at no additional cost within its Rs 399 Airtel Black plan. This move marks a step forward in providing greater value to subscribers, as India’s second-largest telecom provider now adds Internet Protocol Television to the existing bundle of broadband and DTH services. Customers may access over 600 popular television channels and a vast array of on-demand content from 29 major streaming platforms, including Netflix, Apple TV+, Amazon Prime Video, SonyLiv, Zee5, and more, thanks to IPTV’s integration.
What sets IPTV apart is its flexibility, allowing users to watch content directly on any internet-enabled device like smartphones, smart TVs, or tablets without requiring traditional set-top boxes or cable connections. This seamless access brings more convenience to users looking for a comprehensive digital entertainment solution without the limitations of additional equipment.
The Airtel Black bundle, which costs Rs 399, still offers unlimited landline calls and broadband internet via 10Mbps. According to Airtel’s Fair Usage Policy, subscribers can enjoy high-speed internet until they reach their allotted data quota, after which speeds are brought down to 1Mbps. In addition to the broadband offering, users also receive access to more than 260 channels via Airtel Digital TV as part of the plan.
Airtel Black, for those unfamiliar, is a service model that allows users to consolidate multiple Airtel offerings-postpaid mobile, fiber internet, and DTH-into a single plan with one monthly bill. This bundled approach also provides benefits like dedicated customer support and personalized service through a single contact point. Customers can either build a custom plan based on their preferences or opt for a fixed bundled plan, beginning at Rs 399.
Meanwhile, Airtel has recently removed its Rs 199 prepaid recharge option from popular digital platforms such as Paytm and PhonePe. This plan, previously favored for its affordability and core benefits, is no longer available for recharges through these commonly used payment apps.
