Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has expanded its Alcazar SUV lineup with the introduction of two additional models, intending to improve the overall value and comfort offer for potential purchasers. This strategic move brings additional features and transmission options to the table, thereby making the Alcazar lineup more versatile and competitive within the premium SUV segment.
One of the most notable upgrades is a new Corporate variation for the diesel-powered Alcazar. This variant now boasts a voice-enabled smart panoramic sunroof and offers both 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic gearbox choices. The inclusion of premium features in a more cost-effective package makes this variant particularly attractive for diesel SUV enthusiasts looking for a combination of technology and affordability.
Hyundai has also added further convenience for petrol buyers by updating the Prestige variant with a 7-speed DCT (Dual Clutch Transmission), delivering improved driving dynamics and smoother gear shifts. This marks a significant step towards making automatic petrol variants more accessible, particularly for customers seeking a refined and hassle-free urban driving experience.
These newly introduced variants come packed with a robust list of features aimed at elevating comfort, connectivity, and safety. Among them are a 10.25-inch HD touchscreen infotainment unit with navigation, support for wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay through an adapter, Hyundai’s Bluelink connected car system, and dual-zone automatic climate control. Other enhancements include a wireless charging pad, voice-activated panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, quad-beam LED headlamps, and R17 diamond-cut alloy wheels. On the safety front, Hyundai has integrated six airbags, electronic stability control, hill-start assist, and vehicle stability management to ensure peace of mind for both drivers and passengers.
In terms of pricing, the Corporate 7-seater Diesel with manual transmission has been priced at Rs 17.86 lakh, while the automatic version is listed at Rs 19.28 lakh. The newly introduced Prestige 7-seater Petrol variant with DCT comes in at Rs 18.63 lakh, all prices being ex-showroom. With these additions, Hyundai aims to fortify the Alcazar’s identity as a tech-forward, spacious, and family-friendly SUV for Indian consumers.
Speaking about the launch, Mr. Tarun Garg, Whole-Time Director and Chief Operating Officer of Hyundai Motor India, emphasized the brand’s focus on listening to customer preferences and evolving its product lineup accordingly. He highlighted that the new diesel Corporate variant with its sunroof, along with the DCT-equipped petrol Prestige model, underscore Hyundai’s commitment to delivering a more refined and tailored SUV experience. These introductions aim to offer a wider array of choices to buyers who seek performance, smart features, and a sense of sophistication in their vehicles.
