On November 29, the Redmi K70 series will go on sale in China, coinciding with the 10-year anniversary celebrations of the Xiaomi sub-brand. Three additional models-the Redmi K70, Redmi K70 Pro, and Redmi K70E-are planned, just like with the Redmi K60 series. To create interest for the debut, Redmi has leaked some of the important hardware specifications of the next smartphones.
Redmi has revealed that the Redmi K70 Pro, which is anticipated to be the most potent smartphone of the a series, would be powered by Qualcomm’s most advanced Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. Meanwhile, it has been announced that the Redmi K70E would come with MediaTek’s recently released Dimensity 8300-Ultra processor. We’re not sure yet, but the term “Ultra” might refer to either better tuning or faster clock speeds. Although the Redmi K70’s processor is yet unknown, there are rumors that it might be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.
For whatever reason, at least as of this writing, Redmi is releasing additional information regarding the Redmi K70E. The phone in question will have a flat 1.5K display with a peak brightness of 1,800 nits, 1920Hz PWM high-frequency dimming capabilities, and 12 bit color depth. Additionally, it is confirmed to include a huge 5,000mm² stainless steel VC, the biggest on any Redmi phone to yet, which should allow for prolonged graphics-intensive gaming. This phone has a 5,500mAh battery that can be charged quickly (90W over the Redmi K60’s 67W).
Since the Redmi K70 and Redmi K70 Pro’s predecessors have wireless charging built in, we may anticipate that the Redmi K70 series phones will also enable up to 120W fast wired charging. However, we’ll see.
However, the affordability is the greater USP. The Redmi K70 series phones are expected to be more aggressively priced than rival phones with comparable hardware as they are Redmi phones. Another thing to be aware of is the trend for some of these phones to relaunch internationally under the Poco name.
