Less than two weeks before Samsung’s highly anticipated July 10 Unpacked event, images of two new foldable devices, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6, have surfaced online. According to 9to5Google, renowned leaker Evan Blass shared rendered images on social media and his Substack newsletter late Thursday. Additional images posted on the website WinFuture showcased various color options for these devices, which are expected to be officially announced during the Unpacked event in Paris.
The leaked images indicate that the Galaxy Z Fold 6 may be available in an elegant palette of pink, dark navy blue, and silver. In contrast, the Galaxy Z Flip 6 is depicted in a vibrant array of silver, green, light blue, and yellow. While the design updates to the Flip 6 are expected to be minor, significant internal upgrades are anticipated. The Flip 6 is likely to feature a new processor, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, similar to the Galaxy S flagship series. Additionally, there may be multiple variants of the Flip 6, possibly boasting a larger battery and enhanced camera capabilities.
The Galaxy Z Fold 6 is rumored to have a larger cover screen and a design that closely resembles the Galaxy S24 Ultra. Although there might be a variant version of the Fold 6, it may not see an upgrade in the camera department.
Samsung has been a dominant force in the foldable-phone market, but it now faces stiff competition from other major players like Google with its Pixel Fold, OnePlus with the Open, and Motorola with the Razr. Samsung has hinted that both the new foldable phones will incorporate advanced artificial intelligence features, adding to their allure.
As the Unpacked event approaches, the excitement and anticipation for Samsung’s latest innovations in the foldable device market are palpable. The leaks offer a tantalizing preview of what consumers can expect, highlighting potential improvements and design changes. These enhancements could further reinforce Samsung’s position as a leader in the rapidly evolving foldable technology industry. The upcoming event promises to be a significant milestone, showcasing Samsung’s continued commitment to innovation and excellence in the mobile device sector.
