Porsche is getting ready to introduce the 911 992.2 generation’s first GT model, which was only released this summer.
On Friday, October 18, a livestream of the event will be available, showcasing two performance-oriented models of the Porsche 911. Alongside racing icons Walter Röhrl and Jörg Bergmeister, Andreas Preuninger, Director of Porsche’s GT model line, will host the debut.
What is currently known
A car built for the circuit, with a rear wing that resembled a swan neck like earlier GT3 models, is hinted to in Porsche’s event teaser. The carmaker hasn’t confirmed any specifics, but there are two other versions that are supposed to exist: the GT3 and the GT3 Touring, which lacks wings.
In a statement announcing the announcement, Porsche said that “both have become even more emotional, offer customers even more individuality, and feature innovative details.”
A Tradition of Race-Ready Vehicles
Porsche’s GT models have long been praised for their ability to combine daily usability with racetrack performance. Praise went onto the previous GT3 because to its lightweight design, powerful naturally aspirated engine, and quick handling.
Drivers could expect even more thrilling moments behind the wheel if the forthcoming models expand on these qualities, which should include advancements in aerodynamics, engine output, and chassis dynamics.
When and where to watch
On October 18, at 12:30 p.m. ET (18:30 CEST), Porsche’s YouTube channel will broadcast the international premiere live. With its large racing wing and everything, we’re excited to see what the newest GT generation has to offer.
