How to Watch and Stream Apple’s 2024 WWDC Event Live

At this year’s Worldwide Developers Conference on June 10th, Apple’s AI strategy will finally be revealed to the public. If you’re not one of the fortunate few who will be attending WWDC 2024 in person in Cupertino, California, you can watch the keynote live at 1 PM ET on YouTube, using the Apple TV app, or via Apple’s events page.

With its upcoming major iOS update, the company is anticipated to unveil a plethora of new AI features, such as voice memo transcriptions, automatically created bespoke emoji, and enhanced Siri functionality that includes control over specific app features.

Many of these features will run on-device, but some will be moved to the cloud, and Apple will reportedly use M2 Ultra-powered servers for that, which will almost certainly be part of the company’s privacy policy. The company is also expected to announce a new deal with OpenAI to give ChatGPT deeper access on iOS.

While AI will dominate the story, Apple is likely to tout other non-AI improvements, including UI updates to Apple Photos, the iOS and macOS Settings app, and Control Center. Messages could get a new feature similar to full-screen effects (think fireworks or confetti) for individual words in a text message. Apple will reportedly unveil visionOS 2.0 for Vision Pro, with new features and native versions of first-party apps that were previously only available as iPad apps.

The company won’t be unveiling new hardware at WWDC 2024, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman told subscribers in the latest issue of Power On. Tune in to the stream on YouTube or the Apple website starting June 10 at 1 p.m. ET. And, of course, stay tuned to The Verge, where we bring you the most important news above the noise.
