Day-to-day is how Jalen Hurts refers to himself after his finger “popped out”

Jalen Hurts, the quarterback for the Eagles, hurt his right middle finger on Sunday, and the horrific injuries he sustained were visible.

After the incident, Hurts told reporters that his finger had “popped out.”

Prior to the wild-card playoff game at Tampa Bay on Monday night, he described himself as “day to day.”

Hurts described the situation as “very unfortunate and crazy,” according to EJ Smith of the Philadelphia Inquirer. “I’ve never had an experience like that.”

According to Smith, Hurts had a gauze wrap on his middle and pointer finger following the Giants’ 27-10 defeat.

After landing a hit on Giants linebacker Bobby Okereke during his follow-through on a fourth-and-three play in the second quarter, Hurts entered the medical tent. Hurts played the following three series without missing a snap, and coach Nick Sirianni then benched the starters.

Regarding Hurts’ situation for the upcoming week, Sirianni didn’t provide any firm answers.

“He returned and proceeded to play,” Sirianni stated. “He’s extremely tough.” He returned in and tore it after being hurt. Thus, yes, we shall see. I have yet to speak with the medical staff or the trainers. We’ll see.

Following the injury, Hurts went 1 for 4 for 8 yards and an interception while gaining two sacks. He went 7 for 16 for 55 yards in the game’s end.
