Converting from one streaming service to another may not seem that difficult unless you have dozens of playlists with hundreds of songs. Apple recognizes that the need to move songs one by one is a big hurdle for people who want to try Apple Music, and is working on new tools that will make it easier to migrate all your playlists.
As spotted by an eagle-eyed user on Reddit and confirmed by MacRumors, Apple Music Beta for Android (version 4.7.0-Beta, 1359) includes a new playlist migration tool powered by SongShift. Contains tips. The latter is a third-party service for copying titles between streaming services.
Additionally, users can access the same functionality in Settings.
Tools like SongShift are not a new concept, but they often require a one-time payment or subscription purchase. For example, SongShift Pro costs $6.99 per month or $29.99 per year. The native playlist import feature makes things a lot easier for Apple Music users, especially if they continue to use other streaming services and want to keep their libraries in sync.
Apple has not yet announced his partnership with SongShift, so there is no 100% guarantee that this feature will be available to all users soon.
