The performance-focused smartphone, the iQOO 12, was unveiled in China on November 7. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 system-on-a-chip and runs Android 14 via the FunTouch OS 14 interface.
On December 12, the iQOO 12 smartphone, a sub-brand of Chinese smartphone manufacturer Vivo, is scheduled to launch in India. The iQOO 12, a performance-focused smartphone featuring an Android 14-based FunTouch OS 14 UI and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 system-on-chip, was unveiled in its home nation on November 7 with the Pro model. However, the smartphone-which runs on Qualcomm’s most recent Snapdragon Gen 8 chip-is expected to be the first in India.
Specifications of iQOO 12
It is expected that the iQOO 12 India model will be the same as the China model. To that end, a 5,000 mAh battery would power the iQOO 12. Both 50W wireless charging and 120W rapid wired charging would be supported. In preparation for the debut of the iQOO 12 smartphone, iQOO India had earlier made available a sneak peek at its ongoing partnership with German automaker BMW.
Up to 1TB of on-board storage and up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM are probably available for the iQOO 12. The 6.78-inch 1.5K LTPO AMOLED screen on the smartphone would have a refresh rate of up to 144 Hz.
Regarding the cameras, the back of the iQOO 12 would have three of them. A 50 MP primary sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS), a 50 MP telephoto lens with up to 3x optical zoom, and a 64 MP ultra-wide-angle camera would comprise the back camera setup. The smartphone would include a 16MP selfie camera on the front.
Livestream Launch of iQOO 12
December 12 is the planned launch date for iQOO 12 India. This is a livestreamed event that will take place in person for an online audience. The event will begin at 5:00 p.m. on the official iQOO India YouTube channel. On social media, updates from the event may be seen on the official iQOO India accounts.
