The first-ever live worldwide music concert for fans on TikTok has been announced. Cardi B, Niall Horan, Anitta, and Charlie Puth are on the roster.
On December 10, the social networking platform will present “In the Mix” at Sloan Park in Mesa, Arizona. Along with the main acts, TikTok also has performances by Kaliii, Isabel LaRosa, Sam Barber, and Lu Kala to showcase musicians from its developing artist programme Elevate. Attendees may also interact with TikTok’s For You feed in person throughout the festival, which features activities based on what you scroll through on the app.
If you’re not able to make it to Arizona, don’t worry—TikTok will stream the event live, complete with creator appearances and reviews of the year’s biggest trends.
TikTok made its initial entry into the live music industry and has since kept growing outside of the app, most notably into the streaming market. After a beta rollout in July, Bytedance, the parent company of TikTok, debuted TikTok Music last week in Australia, Mexico, and Singapore. TikTok and Billboard partnered to create the first-ever TikTok Billboard Top 50 ranking last month.
TikTok blends community, creativity, and music like no other platform. Our intention with In The Mix is to make the For You feed more engaging for fans both on TikTok and at the venue, according to Paul Hourican, the platform’s global head of music partnerships and programming. “Our vision is to create a show that is reimagined for the TikTok era and our music-loving global community.”
