‘Jawan’ starring Shah Rukh Khan ends 50 days at the box office

The Shah Rukh Khan picture “Jawan,” directed by Atlee, has achieved a noteworthy milestone during a period when box office receipts have been weak.

The film, which debuted on September 7th in Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi, has been in theatres for 50 days. To commemorate the occasion, the producers created a unique poster. “50 days and still winning millions of hearts, Jawan is ruling every corner of the world,” the team wrote as a caption when they shared the poster.

‘Jawan’ kept up its steady momentum with its incredible first-week earnings of Rs 692 crores globally and an even more amazing Rs 465 crores in India.

With an incredible Rs 759+ crores gross (Rs 639.50+ crores nett) at the domestic box office and an extra Rs 387 crores from international markets, the film made an approximate worldwide gross of Rs 1146 crores in just 49 days. It is currently the fifth highest-grossing Indian film of all time and has become the highest-grossing Indian picture of the year in its 50-day run.

As the second Indian film of the year to break the $1 billion barrier at the global box office, this action-thriller also made SRK the only actor to have two films grossing $1 billion or more in a single year. After its January premiere, “Pathaan,” currently the second-highest grossing Indian film of 2023, brought in an incredible Rs 1055+ crores.

With an estimated 500 shows airing each day, Jawan continues to enjoy its undisturbed run while Pathaan swiftly makes its way into OTT.
