The Google Pixel 10 series is reportedly gearing up for an early debut, with sources indicating a possible launch in August this year. Traditionally, Google unveils its flagship Pixel phones in October, but that timeline has seen a shift in recent years. The Pixel 9 series, for instance, made its appearance ahead of schedule in August 2024, and now the Pixel 10 lineup is seemingly following a similar pattern. According to Android Headlines, Google plans to hold its next Made by Google event on August 20, 2025. The tech giant is expected to introduce the new Pixel 10 series smartphones at this annual event. Pre-orders are also expected to open on the same day, with the retail rollout starting shortly after on August 28. If this is accurate, the Pixel 10 series will be released barely a week after last year’s models, marking another early debut for Google’s smartphone business.
Adding to the excitement, a prototype of what is believed to be the Google Pixel 10 Pro has allegedly been spotted on Telegram, providing an early glimpse into the phone’s internal specifications. The prototype bears the codename “blazer” and carries the designation “DVT1.0,” which likely stands for Design Verification Test-an important milestone in product development that ensures all components and design elements function correctly before mass production. The key highlight of the prototype is the new Tensor G5 chipset, which the device is expected to be powered by. Although initially believed to be built on a 5nm process, the chip is now widely reported to be fabricated using TSMC’s 3nm process, indicating a significant performance and efficiency improvement over previous Tensor chips. The SoC configuration is said to include one Cortex-X4 core for high performance, multiple Cortex-A725 cores, and two Cortex-A520 cores focused on efficiency.
The prototype also indicates that the Pixel 10 Pro will have 16GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, implying strong multitasking and app-handling skills. It’s also expected that additional storage configurations could be available upon official release. Display-wise, the device may feature a screen resolution of 2,410 x 1,080 pixels and support a 120Hz refresh rate, offering a smooth and immersive user experience. While these details stem from an early-stage prototype and could be subject to change, they offer a compelling preview of what Google may bring to the table with its upcoming flagship series. As the launch date draws nearer, further leaks and announcements are likely to reveal more about the hardware, software features, and potential camera innovations that have become synonymous with the Pixel brand.
