A 6.8-inch display and four rear cameras to be retain on the Galaxy S25 Ultra

Although the Galaxy S24 Ultra is still the best, Samsung will unavoidably introduce a follow-up in the first half of 2025. While a lot can change between now and then, some aspects of the Galaxy S25 Ultra’s features are more predictable than others. For example, the phone is probably going to have a new Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC, but it’s unsure if it will have an improved camera system.

More details regarding the design and hardware of the Galaxy S25 Ultra are beginning to surface. According to a recent rumor, the Galaxy S25 Ultra might include three rear-facing sensors in place of one camera.

Although the tipster is “certain” that the Galaxy S25 Ultra will have four cameras, it is unclear whether the configuration will have notable improvements. Samsung may adopt the quad-camera setup from the Galaxy S24 Ultra in its flagship phone for 2025.

The amazing 200MP primary unit with OIS and multi-directional PDAF, the 12MP ultra-wide camera with dual pixel PDAF, the 10MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom, and the additional 50MP telephoto sensor with 5x optical zoom make up the Galaxy S24 Ultra’s camera configuration. Telephoto shooters are equipped with OIS and PDAF.

The Galaxy S25 Ultra is expected to be similar in size:

The Galaxy S25 Ultra’s display will be 6.8 inches in size, much like the Galaxy S24 Ultra, according to another piece of information leaked by the X source.

Considering that Samsung has been using 6.8-inch screens in their Ultra flagships since the Galaxy S21 Ultra, this should come as no surprise. Over the previous few years, the display’s design changed resulting in an almost flat panel for the Galaxy S24 Ultra, even though its size stayed the same.

With each new generation of displays, technology advanced, and the Galaxy S24 Ultra features an LTPO backplane, an anti-reflective Gorilla Armor display protector, and a peak brightness of 2600 nits.

It’s unclear whether or how the 6.8-inch display on the Galaxy S25 Ultra will be different from that on the Galaxy S24 Ultra in terms of design or specs. But given the panel is expected to be the same size, the future flagship model should have comparable overall measurements and proportions. Measurements of the Galaxy S24 Ultra are 162.3 x 79 x 8.6 mm. Measuring 162.3 x 79 x 8.6 mm, the Galaxy S24 Ultra is expected to be followed soon.
