The Shah Rukh Khan-starring movie Jawan is having a field day with its advance ticket sales; as of Sunday at 10 p.m., the movie has sold almost 2.35 lakh tickets just for the opening day at the three national chains, PVR, Inox, and Cinepolis. The action film directed by Atlee aims to conclude the third day of advance sales with close to 2.40 lakh seats. PVR had sold 1.15 lakh tickets as of 10 o’clock, followed by Inox with 78,000 and Cinepolis with 42,000. As of Sunday night, the MovieMax chain had sold about 6200 tickets for the first day, whilst Miraj had sold about 17,000.
As the distributor and the chain consider the idea of raising the cost bracket for Jawan based on the excitement, reservations for Rajhans and a few other restaurants are anticipated to open tomorrow. As overall nationwide sales for the opening day are close to 5 lakh tickets, the movie is also receiving a positive response from non-national chains. There are early morning performances that are quickly recording a sold-out board, which is an amazing sign of how much the fans are anticipating the movie.
This reaction has coincided with the beginning of only a small amount of advance booking, and because all of the concerts are scheduled to go online on Monday, it is anticipated that it will quicken Jawan’s speed. The goal for Jawan is to surpass Pathaan’s overall advance booking across the three national chains and take the top spot on the list. Outside of Bahubali 2 (Hindi), Jawan already finds itself in the top 15 advance bookings of all time after only three days of sales. By Wednesday night, Jawan hopes to be either number 1 or 2.
The film will gather even more momentum on Tuesday and Wednesday before the release on Thursday, which is a holiday due to Janmashtami, making it appear extremely doable at the moment. The movie Jawan is predicted to open to amazing figures in Hindi, breaking the previous record-holder Pathaan, and become the greatest opener in Hindi film history. For those who are unaware, Pathaan had a record-breaking non-holiday start of somewhere around Rs 55 crore.
The records are anticipated to fall through the first weekend of Shah Rukh Khan’s return following a historic success, but the film’s long-term performance will depend on its content. If the substance lives up to expectations, SRK is likely to release another record-breaking film in 2023. Keep checking Pinkvilla for more information about Jawan and its advance bookings.
