Nani will cast in Mahabharata, the dream project of SS Rajamouli

At the pre-release event of ‘HIT 3’ in Hyderabad, celebrated filmmaker SS Rajamouli shared an exciting update about his ambitious dream project, ‘Mahabharata’. According to Rajamouli, actor Nani would definitely appear in the movie. This announcement, made during an interactive session hosted by Suma Kanakala, drew enthusiastic applause from the audience.

Suma, dressed up like Nani’s character from ‘HIT 3’, led a lively Q&A session during the event on April 27. Initially probing Rajamouli for any news about ‘SSMB 29’, his ongoing project with Mahesh Babu, she was met with silence. Shifting gears, she then brought up the speculations surrounding Rajamouli’s long-cherished project, ‘Mahabharata’. When she asked whether Nani would be part of the epic, Rajamouli responded affirmatively, saying, “Only Nani’s casting is fixed,” a statement that was greeted with loud cheers.

Expressing his gratitude, Nani thanked Rajamouli for taking time out from his busy schedule to attend the event. He shared, “I sent him a message requesting his presence. He was busy shooting for his film – though I won’t reveal which one – and I wasn’t sure if he would make it. But he immediately agreed.” Nani also took a moment to warmly acknowledge Rama Rajamouli, saying, “I love you more than him. It’s so wonderful to have you here. You and Valli garu have always felt like family to me.” He concluded by expressing his hopes for a huge success with ‘HIT 3’.

‘HIT 3’, which had been directed by Sailesh Kolanu and starred Nani and Srinidhi Shetty, would be released on May 1. The film will face stiff competition at the box office as it opens alongside Suriya’s ‘Retro’. The ‘HIT’ franchise has seen different leads in each installment, with Vishwak Sen starring in the first and Adivi Sesh leading the second. In this third chapter, Nani steps into the role of Arjun Sarkaar, an intense and aggressive cop.
