HBO Cancels “The Time Traveler’s Wife” After One Season

The show, created by Steven Moffat of Doctor Who, was cancelled by HBO after one season.

Theo James played Henry DeTamble in the show, Rose Leslie played Clare Abshire, Desmin Borges played Gomez, and Natasha Lopez played Charisse. The six-part series portrayed the narrative of Clare and Henry and their marriage with a time travel issue. It was a complex and fascinating love story.

The David Nutter-helmed television series, which was based on the Audrey Niffenegger novel, debuted on May 15 and aired through June 19.

“Though HBO will not be moving forward with a second season of The Time Traveler’s Wife, it was our privilege to partner with master storytellers Steven Moffat and David Nutter,” an HBO spokeswoman told Deadline. “We are so grateful for their passion, hard work and care for adapting this beloved book. We also thank Theo and Rose, and the rest of our brilliant cast for their heartfelt performances, which completely captivated audiences.’

In collaboration with Warner Bros. Television, Hartswood Films created the television series. Moffat, who co-created Sherlock, wrote and executive produced the film, and Nutter, Sue Vertue, Brian Minchin, and Joseph E. Iberti also served as producers.
