First smartphone with the Snapdragon 8 Generation 3 from iQOO: iQOO 12 India launch teaser

In order to introduce the nation’s first smartphone with the recently released Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, iQOO is preparing to launch the iQOO 12 in India. November 7 is the scheduled launch date for this highly anticipated series in China; a worldwide release is anticipated in the coming weeks. The iQOO 12 and iQOO 12 Pro are the two variants of the iQoo 12 series; however, only the ordinary iQOO 12 is expected to be sold in India.

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, which was just unveiled and promises to offer a number of improvements, is the iQOO 12’s power source. It is noteworthy that this smartphone is rumored to have a specialized display processor, which will enable ray tracing that is advanced by hardware.

A Collaboration with BMW M Motorsport

For a number of years, iQoo and BMW M Motorsport have been working together, and this collaboration will continue with the iQOO 12. Of particular note is the upcoming “Legend Edition Inspired by BMW M Motorsport,” which will have unique designs and the recognizable BMW M stripes on the back of the device.

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 from Qualcomm is revealed

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, a flagship mobile platform with numerous innovations, was unveiled by Qualcomm during the Snapdragon Tech Summit 2023. With its new Kryo CPU configuration including five gold cores and 1-5-2 microarchitecture, the chipset offers a notable 20% gain in power efficiency along with a significant 30% performance boost. In addition to these improvements, the Adreno GPU offers a notable 40% increase in Ray Tracing capabilities along with 25% greater performance and power efficiency.

Improved AI and Gaming Features

With hardware-accelerated Ray Tracing and Snapdragon Elite Gaming capabilities, Qualcomm has enhanced its gaming expertise and provided realistic and immersive multi-source illumination. In order to provide advanced AI capabilities, the Qualcomm AI Engine runs entirely on the device, expanding its support for multi-modal generative AI models.
