Pixel phones get bug fixes in the May update from Google

Google has concluded the release of the Pixel Tablet and the new Pixel 8a. However, the business has also released the May update for its Pixel phones as of today, May 7.

Google announced the release of the update for Pixel devices running Android 14-including Pixel 5a and higher-in the community thread. These phones come with the Pixel Tablet in addition to the AP1A.240505.004/005 builds found in the worldwide versions. Although the distribution started today, Google notes that, depending on the network and handset model, it will continue in stages over the span of the following week.

The May update provides bug fixes and enhancements for Pixel users in addition to the most recent security patch. The aforementioned Pixel devices, like as the Pixel Fold and Pixel Tablet, exhibit enhanced Bluetooth LE audio stability and performance.

Owners of the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro who had issues with camera performance in specific situations, like when filming a video, now have an updated solution in the most recent update.

The most recent update for Pixel phones arrives after the Pixel Watch upgrade earlier today. Users can expect a phased deployment of the update, which was made available to all Pixel Watch models running Wear OS 4, during the course of the next week.

With the debut of the Pixel 8a and Pixel Tablet behind them, as well as the monthly updates to the Pixel smartphones, the search giant is getting ready for the Google I/O 2024 event on May 14, which is just one week away. Along with Android 15, we should expect software releases, including updates for Gemini later in the year, and a renewed focus on AI.
