The New Action Film Starring Jason Statham Opens With The Highest Rotten Tomatoes Rating Since 2015

Jason Statham now has the highest Rotten Tomatoes score since 2015 thanks to the Beekeeper. In David Ayer’s most recent action film, the actor plays Adam Clay, a retired special operations soldier who lives a quiet life as a beekeeper and who decides to come out of retirement to get revenge after someone close to him is the subject of criminal activity. Although Statham is currently one of Hollywood’s most dependable action performers, many of his most recent films have not received positive reviews from reviewers.

Right before The Beekeeper opens in theatres, Rotten Tomatoes reports the movie has a 72% rating based on 60 reviews. With a score of 95%, this is really the greatest score that Statham has had since Spy in 2015.

Although The Beekeeper does not currently have an audience score, one will undoubtedly be added after the movie opens wide this weekend. It’s also important to note that when more reviews are uploaded, the critics’ ranking may change.

Reviews for The Beekeeper have been largely positive, as indicated by the score, with critics appreciating Statham’s most recent punch-em-up. Its main selling point is that, unlike some of his other action-packed roles, The Beekeeper seems to have mostly succeeded in striking a balance between serious and amusing. For instance, even amid scenes of extreme violence, the film frequently makes puns, jokes, and references about bees.

Naturally, the action is the primary attraction of a Statham action film. With a R rating, The Beekeeper had more violent and bone-crunching action scenes than the actor’s PG-13 work, and it’s clear that this made for an exciting viewing experience. Though the plot may be very standard for the action genre, the combination of fun action and a movie that recognises its own silliness has undoubtedly won over some critics.

Statham may have had his greatest performance since 2015 with 72%, but it’s still not exactly spectacular. Many of the largely favourable reviews for the movie are, to put it mildly, unimpressive. Many of the largely favourable reviews for the movie are, to put it mildly, unimpressive. Some reviewers contend that the plot is cliched and unoriginal, and Josh Hutcherson’s villainous character isn’t much better than the stereotypical antagonists found in other similar films. Even if The Beekeeper isn’t an Oscar winner, it seems like Statham had a good time in the movie based on its Rotten Tomatoes rating.
