New details on Vivo X100 Pro+’s periscope telephoto camera have been leaked

The Vivo X100 and Vivo X100 Pro were introduced earlier this month in several countries, and it is confirmed that India will get the phones on January 4. These smartphones are the Vivo X90 and Vivo X90 Pro’s replacements, which were unveiled in February of this year. Soon, the Vivo X100 Pro+, a third model that is anticipated to replace the Vivo X90 Pro+, will be added to the range of smartphones. Information on the Pro+ model had already leaked online, and now the next phone’s camera specs have also been revealed by a tipster.

According to a Weibo post by Tipster Digital Chat Station, the Vivo X100 Pro+ is anticipated to have a 200-megapixel sensor and a 1/1.5-inch periscope telephoto lens. A 10-megapixel periscope lens with up to 10x optical zoom is believed to be able to capture photos with the same resolution as the lens, which is anticipated to have 4.3x optical zoom. When combined, 200-megapixel digital zoom is anticipated to be supported.

The Vivo X100 Pro+ may ship with a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-900 primary rear sensor, according to earlier leaks. A 50-megapixel Sony IMX589 sensor with an ultra-wide lens and a 50-megapixel IMX758 portrait lens were reportedly also mentioned in earlier reports about the phone.

According to the rumor, the Vivo X100 Pro+ is anticipated to be released in the first half of 2024. It also mentions that the Vivo X100 Ultra name may be used for the model’s debut.

Previous sources state that Qualcomm’s most recent Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC and a 5,400mAh battery with support for both 50W and 100W wired fast charging are believed to be included in the Vivo X100 Pro+. A 6.78-inch Samsung E7 AMOLED display with 2K resolution and a refresh rate of 120 Hz is also probably going to be included in the phone.

Similar to the Vivo X100 Pro and Vivo X100 models, the Vivo X100 Pro+ is also expected to come with an IP68 classification for dust and splash protection and arrive with OriginOS 4, an Android 14-based operating system. MediaTek Dimensity 9300 chipsets, 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED panels, and triple rear camera modules bearing the Zeiss name were included in the launch models of the base and Pro models.
