Merriments saturated with nearby conventions enlighten Taiwan as individuals sparkle a light on their desires for good karma and flourishing in the new year.

In 1990, Taiwan joined centuries old Lantern Festival customs with the local Pingxi Sky Lantern and Yanshui Fireworks Festivals, making one of the most mainstream occasions in the country.

The yearly traditions are portrayed by firecrackers in the south and sky lights in the north.

All through the capital of Taipei, celebration goers can hope to see lovely lights everything being equal, from little ones for youngsters to a transcending paper structure at the core of the festivals.
