Duchess Meghan picks dress with symbolism in the first appearance since reporting pregnancy

Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan were shock visitors at a Spotify event on Monday.

The appearance, which included Harry and Meghan discussing their exclusive podcasts with Spotify, was the couple’s first since reporting they are anticipating their second child and since affirming they won’t be returning as working individuals from Britain’s royal family.

Meghan picked a spring search for the appearance, wearing a citrus primavera peplum trim dress by Oscar de la Renta.

Eagle-eyes royal watchers seen symbolism in Meghan’s dress, which retails for $3,490 at Saks Fifth Avenue.

The dress features lemons and California, where Harry and Meghan now live, is the United States’ top producer of lemons, as per the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA).

The dress’ name, primavera, likewise has a connection to Harry’s grandma, Queen Elizabeth, as per Elizabeth Holmes, writer of the book, “HRH: So Many Thoughts on Royal Style.”

The design of the queen’s wedding dress for her 1947 wedding to Prince Philip was inspired by Sandro Botticelli’s Renaissance-period painting Primavera, as per Holmes.

Prince Harry and Meghan reported a multiyear partnership a year ago with Spotify that will see the Sussexes both hosting and producing podcasts with the objective of building “community through shared experience, narratives and values,” as per Spotify.

The organization with Spotify will fall under the Sussexes’ new production organization, Archewell Audio, portrayed by Spotify as an “audio-first production company.”

Archewell is the name of Harry and Meghan’s new association, which features both their production and philanthropic work.
