According to Microsoft, Bing now has over 100 million daily active users

According to report, Microsoft’s VP for Modern Life, Search, and Devices, claims that a month after the chatbot AI was launched, Bing has reached 100 million daily active users. He stated that the company is fully aware that it is still only “a small, low, single digit share player,” but hey, Bing wasn’t even mentioned at one point. Even those who have never used the tech giant’s next-generation version are now relying on it for their searches: One-third of Bing’s daily active users, according to report, are unfamiliar with the search engine.

According to the vice president, “We see this appeal of the new Bing as a validation of our view that search is due for a reinvention and of the unique value proposition of combining Search + Answers + Chat + Creation in one experience.”

Microsoft appears to be enjoying a rise in engagement as well as an increase in the number of people conducting searches. The company attributes this victory to two elements, the first of which is the expansion of Edge’s usage, most likely aided by the addition of Bing’s chat AI as a new feature. It additionally said that the presentation of its Prometheus simulated intelligence model made Bing’s query items more significant, so individuals have been utilizing — or if nothing else testing — the web index more.

It would appear that approximately one third of the daily preview users of Bing have been using the chat AI for their queries on a daily basis. Since launching the new Bing, Microsoft has received over 45 million chats, an average of three per session. In addition, people use Bing to create new content in 15% of all chat sessions. The introduction of Bing’s mobile AI chatbot has also elevated the search engine to a new level of popularity, resulting in a sixfold increase in the number of daily active users compared to before the feature was made available.

Microsoft gave its search engine the weapon it needed to compete with Google earlier this year by integrating an AI chatbot into Bing. However, Google has plans to launch its own chatbot and introduced a chat AI known as Bard last month. During its unofficial debut, Bard disseminated false information, but Google is collaborating with employees to improve the chatbot’s responses before it becomes available.
