If you want flagship quality at a more affordable price, the Samsung FE series is your best bet. Today, the company announced its two latest products: the Galaxy S24 FE and Galaxy Watch FE LTE. Both devices offer the features of the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy Watch, including AI-powered photo editing, fitness tracking, and more. Plus, they’re both set to launch next week, so you don’t have to wait long to buy one.
Galaxy S24 FE
Like previous FE devices, the Galaxy S24 FE offers many of the attractive features of the regular S24, at a more affordable price. The phone is priced at $650 and has a 6.7-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, and under the hood it runs Android 14 with an Exynos 2400e processor and 8GB of RAM 14 and One UI 6.1. Of course, there are plenty of AI-powered features here, like Circle to Search, Interpreter, Live Translate, Composer, and Note Assist, as well as a 4,700mAh battery and IP68-certified design.
The camera has always been a big deal on a phone, and the S24 FE is no exception. The device runs Samsung’s AI-powered ProVisual Engine, which improves low-light performance, image quality when zooming, and color optimization with Super High Dynamic Range (HDR). There are also AI features like generative editing, portrait studio, editing suggestions, and instant slow-motion. Stills and videos are captured by a 50MP wide-angle camera and a 12MP ultra-wide-angle camera. There’s also an 8MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. A 10MP sensor on the front takes selfies.
Samsung also says the S24 FE is better for gaming. Thanks to its Exynos processor, the phone offers ray tracing, and the 120Hz display comes with a vision booster tool to keep colors and contrast “clear and comfortable” even outdoors. Compared to the S23 FE, there’s also a larger vapor chamber, improving overall cooling performance.
The Galaxy S24 FE will be available on October 3 in 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB storage configurations in blue, graphite, gray, and mint color options. Pre-orders begin today.
Galaxy Watch FE LTE
Samsung already announced the Galaxy Watch FE this summer, but now the company is back with an LTE version. Starting at $250, this model lets you make calls, text, and more even when you’re away from your phone. It has a 1.2-inch Super AMOLED display, plus fitness and sleep tracking, heart rate monitoring, and more, all powered by Wear OS. As my colleague Cherlynn Low explains, it’s basically a Galaxy Watch 7 with LTE.
The Galaxy Watch FE LTE will be available on October 3rd. Pre-orders will begin today.
