Samsung Introduces More Affordable Galaxy Book 6 Starting at $799

Samsung is expanding its Galaxy Book 6 lineup with a new, more affordable model aimed at customers looking for a capable Windows laptop without the higher price tag. Starting at $799, the new Galaxy Book 6 could also serve as a competitor to Apple’s recently introduced MacBook Neo.

Samsung first unveiled the Galaxy Book 6 family at CES earlier this year, with the first three models arriving in the U.S. in March. The entry-level Galaxy Book 6 initially started at $1,050, while Samsung later added a premium version powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X2 Elite processor in June, priced from $2,100.

The latest model brings the starting price down considerably. Depending on the market and configuration, it is powered by either an Intel Core 3 or Intel Core 5 processor. Buyers can choose between 256GB, 512GB and 1TB storage options, while RAM configurations include 8GB and 16GB.

The laptop features a 14-inch display with a 1,920 x 1,200 resolution and an anti-glare coating. Samsung claims it can deliver up to 25 hours of battery life on a single charge. When the battery does run low, the 45W fast-charging support is designed to get users back up and running more quickly.

For connectivity, the Galaxy Book 6 includes two USB Type-C ports, one USB Type-A port and an HDMI 1.4 port. A 3.5mm headphone jack is also included, giving users several options for connecting accessories and external displays.

Samsung has also equipped the affordable laptop with several AI-powered features. AI Select allows users to select content directly on the screen, while Note Assist can summarize notes and highlight key information for easier review.

As part of Samsung’s Galaxy ecosystem, the Galaxy Book 6 can also work with other Galaxy devices. Users can share and access files across compatible devices and use a Galaxy Tab as a secondary display, adding flexibility for multitasking.

The new Galaxy Book 6 is available in Gray and Violet Silver, with the latter being a new color option for the lineup. For now, Samsung is offering the more affordable model in select markets, with availability and configurations varying by region.
