A rumored render of Samsung’s Galaxy S26 Edge has surfaced, which only fuels rumors that the incredibly thin phone would resemble the upcoming iPhone 17 Pro. Reliable leaker OnLeaks provided the renders to Android Headlines, revealing a handset with thin bezels and a noticeable rear camera bar with two lenses.
The Galaxy S26 Edge might not appear like the Galaxy S25 Edge, which has three rear cameras on the left side of the device that are vertically oriented, based on the renders. Rather, the renders of the Galaxy S26 Edge more closely resemble what seem to be dummy devices and iPhone 17 Pro leaks that were seen on the IFA 2025 showfloor. The distinction is that there are rumors that the iPhone 17 Pro will have three cameras on the back instead of just two.
In addition to replacing the S26 Plus, the Galaxy S26 Edge is believed to have built-in magnets for Qi2 charging, putting it in line with the Pixel 10 series and more recent iPhone models. Furthermore, according to Android Headlines, the Galaxy S26 Edge will be even smaller than the S25 Edge, with a thickness of 5.5 mm (or 10.8 mm with the camera hump) as opposed to 5.8 mm.
Samsung’s adoption of the boxy camera island seen in the mockups is probably going to have to wait until January, but we’ll know in a few days if Apple gets ahead of the pack.
