Next-Gen Health on Your Wrist: Asus VivoWatch 6 AERO Debuts with Advanced Sensors

Asus may not hold the same level of recognition in the wearable tech space as heavyweights like Apple and Samsung, but it’s certainly drawing attention with a major step forward in innovation. The company has officially unveiled the VivoWatch 6 AERO, a cutting-edge smart band that brings high-end health monitoring features-such as blood pressure measurement and electrocardiogram (ECG) capabilities-to a compact, fitness-focused wearable for the very first time.

Revealed just days ago, the VivoWatch 6 AERO marks a significant upgrade in the fitness tracker category. Weighing in at just 27 grams including the strap, the device is both lightweight and stylish. It features a 1.1-inch AMOLED display, delivering vibrant colors and an intuitive user interface. Powered by a 135 mAh battery, Asus claims the band can last up to five days under typical conditions and extend to seven days when using the power-saving mode.

Despite its small size, the VivoWatch 6 AERO is packed with advanced sensor technology, including built-in GPS, G-sensor, PPG, and ECG modules. These enable in-depth health tracking usually found only in higher-end smartwatches. The device pairs effortlessly with smartphones running Android 10 or iOS 13 and newer, and it supports Bluetooth 5.0 for stable, energy-efficient connectivity.

What sets this fitness band apart is Asus’s innovative use of sputter deposition, which allows the ECG and PPG sensors to be smoothly integrated into the wristband itself. This design choice enhances both performance and comfort. Users will be able to track vital health metrics like SpO2 (blood oxygen), heart rate, sleep patterns, step count, and calorie burn with greater precision.

Other notable features include the integrated GPS for accurate activity tracking and 5ATM water resistance, making the band durable enough for swimming and daily wear. It also comes with Asus Health AI 5.0, the latest version of the company’s intelligent software that processes real-time data to deliver actionable insights and tailored wellness recommendations.

Although Asus has not yet disclosed the official pricing, the device will be offered in gray and black color options. Given that the previous VivoWatch 5 AERO launched at around $130, the new model is expected to be similarly priced. While an exact release date hasn’t been announced, the VivoWatch 6 AERO is expected to hit shelves soon following its official debut.
