The state fair season has begun as fall is in the air and leaves are beginning to fall.
On Monday, September 15, Krispy Kreme introduced a new doughnut collection inspired by the “sights, smells, and iconic tastes of your favorite seasonal fairgrounds, no ticket required,” in celebration of the beginning of a new season.
For a brief period starting on September 15, participating Krispy Kreme stores across the country will carry the Fall Fair Collection, which includes four new flavors:
- Cotton Candy Doughnut: An Original Glazed doughnut dipped in vibrant blue icing and coated with cotton candy flavored sugar, topped with a playful strawberry-flavored icing swirl and a fluffy cotton candy-flavored buttercreme dollop.
- Kreme Puff Doughnut: An unglazed ring doughnut swirled with rich Kreme, dusted with sweet powdered coating and crowned with a cheerful Doughnut Dot.
- Blue Ribbon Apple Pie Doughnut: An unglazed shell doughnut bursting with apple cinnamon filling, dipped in caramel flavored icing, sprinkled with cinnamon cookie crumbs and drizzled with white icing.
- Caramel Churro Doughnut: Covered in cinnamon sugar and drizzled caramel flavored icing.
How to purchase the new fall donuts from Krispy Kreme
According to a news release from Krispy Kreme, the collection is available in-store as well as for pickup or delivery through the company’s website and app, both singly and in sets of dozen.
Earlier this summer, Krispy Kreme and McDonald’s ended their agreement
On June 24, Krispy Kreme and McDonald’s both declared the termination of their collaboration.
Three varieties of Krispy Kreme treats—Original Glazed Doughnuts, Chocolate Iced with Sprinkles Doughnuts, and Chocolate Iced Kreme Filled Doughnuts—were introduced by the fast food chain earlier this year in about 2,400 McDonald’s restaurants. Regretfully, the companies claim that the offerings were unsuccessful. On July 2, the doughnuts were removed from McDonald’s menus.
Following their separation, McDonald’s will concentrate on enhancing the success of its breakfast business, while Krispy Kreme will prioritize increasing the availability of its doughnuts.
