Manasi Ghosh has emerged as the winner of Indian Idol season 15, earning not just the trophy but also a cash prize of ₹25 lakh. Her victory came after a tough competition with fellow finalists Subhajit Chakraborty and Sneha Shankar. The moment was celebrated on stage with her emotional parents, adding to the heartfelt atmosphere of the grand finale.
Sony TV took to X (previously known as Twitter) to share the news, posting a picture of Manasi and writing that after weeks filled with music and magic, Manasi had not only claimed the title but also touched the hearts of millions. Her journey to the win has been one of dedication and perseverance, having previously secured the runner-up position on Super Singer season 3.
Following her win, Manasi expressed that the reality of her achievement hadn’t fully sunk in yet. Speaking to Indian Express, she shared that her family was present during the finale and became overwhelmed with emotion as the result was announced. She admitted feeling blank at the time but was overjoyed by the love and blessings she received from across the country. Winning Indian Idol, a show with national reach, marked a significant change in her life.
Manasi also opened up about her plans for the prize money, revealing that she intends to invest in her independent music projects and also use the car she has received. During the show, a touching moment occurred when her parents joined her on stage and reflected on her early years. They shared how Manasi had taken on financial responsibilities during difficult periods and proudly mentioned that she once promised to buy them many houses.
Indian Idol season 15 was hosted by Aditya Narayan, with Shreya Ghoshal, Vishal Dadlani, and Badshah serving as the judges. The finale also featured appearances by special guests Shilpa Shetty, Raveena Tandon, and Mika Singh.
