In Sandeep Reddy Vanga's new movie Spirit replaces Deepika Padukone with Triptii Dimri, and fans says 'This is Huge'

In the highly awaited Sandeep Reddy Vanga Movie Spirit, Triptii Dimri will co-star with Prabhas. Following the massive success of Animal, Vanga has now moved on to his next ambitious project with Prabhas, and the confirmation of Triptii as the female lead has already sparked excitement among fans. The character was originally supposed to be played by Deepika Padukone, however current rumors from the industry suggest that she was dropped for allegedly making “unprofessional demands.” Triptii was formally revealed as the new lead by the producers, ending all rumors.

Sandeep Reddy Vanga made the announcement on X (formerly Twitter), posting, “The female lead for my film is now official :-).” Triptii shared her enthusiasm by reposting it on Instagram with a heartfelt caption: “Still sinking in…. 😍 So appreciative to have faith with this journey 🙏🏻 Thank you, @sandeepreddy.vanga. It is a privilege to share in your vision. Her admirers and supporters didn’t hesitate to respond, saturating the comments area with joyous remarks. While some welcomed her to “RebelWood,” others called it a massive milestone. Some emphasized how Vanga’s decision to once more put his faith in Triptii spoke volumes, particularly in light of her significant performance in Animal.

As for Deepika Padukone, industry insiders claim the director was taken aback by her alleged unwillingness to work beyond six hours a day and the demands made by her agency regarding additional pay if the shoot surpassed the 100-day mark. These circumstances reportedly led to her exit from the project.

Spirit marks Triptii’s first film alongside Prabhas and her second collaboration with director Sandeep Reddy Vanga, as well as producers Bhushan Kumar and Pranay Reddy Vanga. The movie, produced under the banners of T-Series and Bhadrakali Pictures, will feature Prabhas portraying a tough, high-intensity police officer. The film is currently in its pre-production stage and is scheduled to begin filming in 2025.
