From carrying out end-to-end encryption to the forthcoming ability to star messages, Google’s RCS/SMS customer has seen various feature increments recently. You would now be able to pinch-to-zoom to change the font size in Google Messages for Android.
The functionality is quite straightforward and starts by opening any thread. Pinching-out with two fingers increments most text in the current window, however the app bar remains something similar. There are a few additions, and you can pinch-in to get back to the default size. Clients can’t change text size while the keyboard is open. The current font size applies to all conversation threads, however the main list view is unchanged.
Before, those that required greater text in Google Messages needed to head into system settings and adjust font and/or display size, hence affecting the whole gadget. This is a decent app-level implementation. All things considered, while the adjustment is intuitive, it’s quite hidden.
This ability to change the font size in Google Messages just came to light today and has been a long-running request for a few. It’s not clear what version enabled it, yet the change is accessible on current versions, including the most recent 8.3.026 beta.
