The iPad Pro featuring the M5 chip is anticipated to be just as user-friendly for taking selfies in both landscape and portrait orientations. As per report, Apple plans to introduce a second front-facing camera on the portrait edge of the new iPad Pro, which is set to be released later this year. While this may appear to be a minor enhancement, it allows the iPad Pro to utilize either camera to better center the subject during selfies or FaceTime calls.
In comparison to earlier iPad models, the forthcoming iPad Pro equipped with Apple’s latest silicon eliminates the uncertainty of the front-facing camera’s position.
Previously, iPad models were designed with a single front-facing camera located on the portrait edge, but Apple opted to relocate this to the landscape side in 2024 with the iPad Pro M4. Users who primarily operate their iPads in landscape mode appreciated this adjustment, but those who favored a vertical hold found it more challenging to unlock using Face ID.
In addition to the new front-facing camera, the upcoming iPad Pro is expected to feature minor performance enhancements and improved power efficiency, courtesy of the advanced M5 chip.
Furthermore, Apple is reportedly considering upgrades for its Vision Pro, MacBook Pro, Mac mini, and iMac with the next generation of chips.
