This Day Google Doodle Celebrates observes Brazilian anthropologist and lobbyist Lélia Gonzalez, generally known as one of the most compelling figures of the twentieth century dark social liberties and women’s activist developments of Brazil.
Conceived in Belo Horizonte on this day in 1935, at a youthful age Gonzalez moved to Rio de Janeiro and entered a secondary school that constrained her to deny her dark indigenous legacy to be acknowledged by instructors and white schoolmates.
